The WJO offers exciting and meaningful music having performed with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and at the Lincoln Centre in New York. The Jazz Orchestra has been nominated for a Western Canadian Music Award as jazz artists of the year in 2019, ‘22, ‘23 and now in 2024!

The Post Roads Orchestra is one of the community orchestras run by the Douglas Kuhl School of Music. It includes musicians who have ensemble experience along with school students and community members of all ages.
Juno nominees Tom and Lori enchant families with their fresh, interactive programs that might include storytelling,
puppetry and audience participation. With 9 award- winning albums they’ve garnered a Juno nomination, Western Canadian Music Awards, Parents Choice Awards, and represented Canada at the World Expo in Japan.
Murder for Two

This season’s Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre Regional Tour presents a high energy musical whodunit! Murder for Two is a blend of a classic musical, a comedy and a murder mystery. Two actors play a dozen different characters along with a piano.
Settle in for this witty homage to old fashioned murder mysteries as a musical with a twist!

Known for their joyful and electrifying performances, pianist Madeline Hildebrand and oboist Caitlin Broms-Jacobs have been musical collaborators since 2014. They have brought their expressive music making to audiences across Canada. Self- described as “serious musicians who don’t take ourselves too seriously”, Madeline and Caitlin combine infectious enthusiasm and masterful playing to inspire audiences and bring them joy through a variety of music.

Fifty years ago the volunteer board of the Southern Manitoba Concert series presented their first concert series with the goal of bringing inspiring professional performers to the South Central region of Manitoba on a rotating basis. SMC is a regional inter-generational, affordable concert series.

Subscriptions are limited and processed on a first come, first served basis. Subscriptions go on sale to the general public at local outlets after October 1st.
